Because the Lord Said 'Go'

Deploying Redeemer 30A's First Missionary

We are incredibly excited to have partnered with Trinity Presbyterian Church and Send56 to deploy Redeemer's own Ronnie Willis to Tororo, Uganda!

THE MISSION

While in Uganda, Ronnie will oversee the building of a new training and development center for African ministers, as well as help to disciple the first graduating class.

THE FIELD

Uganda is a majority-Christian nation; but, the need for discipleship is vast. Millions who have claimed Christ have never been shown how to live out the Christian faith.

THE NEED

As Ronnie continues to manage the training center build and disciple the first class of graduates, he needs prayer and finances to sustain and bless his mission.

About Ronnie

Redeemer's first missionary

"for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" — Romans 10:13-14 NIV

Bio

Born in Mississippi and raised in Destin Florida, Ronnie is the oldest of 4 siblings, all brothers!  He graduated to Ft Walton High School and then Ol Miss (Go Black Bears!)

After years working in real estate and construction, Ronnie worked at Destin United Methodist Church in the youth ministry department. It was there that the Lord blossomed his gifts to disciple and evangelize.  Since then Ronnie has been active in reaching others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ronnie has led numerous mission trips to Haiti working with Mission of Hope, and was integral in the launching of a new church in Santa Rosa Beach, Redeemer 30A, and serves as a deacon there. God has opened up an opportunity for Ronnie to serve in Uganda for between four and six months, and Ronnie has faithfully obeyed God’s call.

It seems to be tailor suited for Ronnie, as he will be working on a construction project at a local mission, and also discipling others there as well, both of which Ronnie excels at.

If you’d like more information on how to stay in touch with Ronnie, or how you can pray, please contact us.
