Born and raised in Washington state, the Lord blessed me with God-honoring parents who raised me to fear the Lord. Christ captured my heart at a young age, and then called me into ministry at the age of 15. My family spent time as missionaries in Haiti when I was in High School, which was a difficult yet formative experience in my faith. Since then, I developed a passion for local and global evangelism, traveling to over 42 countries sharing the good news of Jesus. The Lord led me to Destin Florida in 2008 where I met my wife Haylee. We got married a year later and lived in Birmingham Alabama for a time as she pursued her MDiv while I worked at a local church. We moved back to the area in 2011.
Over the course of 10 years in ministry, the Lord has only grown my compassion for the lost and passion for the local church. Two years ago, we sensed the call to plant a church, which was affirmed by fellow leaders, pastors, friends and family. After starting a small business and building relationships in Santa Rosa Beach, the Lord unveiled my eyes to a deep need in the area. Since then, God has been opening doors and answering prayers consistently, one of which was the blessing to work with our friends the Pools to plant Redeemer30a. It has been a joy to pray for the area, to meet fellow pastors who are faithfully laboring for Christ’s Kingdom, and to watch God work even in the beginning stages of Redeemer. We are filled with gratitude for our Savior, and excitement for where the Lord will lead.
I enjoy reading, especially topics on Cultural Apologetics, Applied Theology, Doctrine, and Family. I also enjoy a good cup of coffee, watching and playing basketball, eating sushi, and spending time with my wife Haylee, son Asher, and daughter Hattie.
